[TR 22895023] Nethersole House [NR] (site of). (1) Nethersole House, on the south side of Womenswold, was built before the Civil War and pulled down in the late 18th century. (2) The site is indicated by a dense scatter of brick, roofing tile and flint centred at TR 22885019. Old Nethersole, a mansion mentioned temp. Henry III, stood on the site now occupied by Nethersole Farm [TR 22785071] and should not be confused with Nethersole House (a). (3-5)
