A Roman urn, inscribed in two places, was found in 1793 near Wickhambreaux Church. It contained two smaller urns and calcined bones. [The illustration appears to show makers stamps, rather than graffiti - also, see RIB II 6 2494.184] (1)(2) No further information has been gained during fieldwork concerning this find. (3)
