The Chapel of the Manor of Popeshall or Popshall, was situated near the manor house [see TR 24 NE 13] about three quarters of a mile from Coldred Church. It was mentioned in 1272 but has not been used since the Reformation and there are now only a few carved stones to mark the site. (2,3)

At the published site there is an area of disturbed ground with a heavy growth of nettles, etc. and the faint outlines of a rectangular building orientated E-W measuring about 20m by 10m. (7)
