Protected Status:Selected Heritage Inventory for Natural England: Site of Chapel close to house. The church stopped being used after the reformation. Now on the site there are only stones to show where the church stood.

[TR 28514713] POPSHALL HOUSE [G.T.] (Site of) (1) The Manor House of Popeshall, or Popshall (Domesday : Popeselle) was at the eastern extremity of Coldred parish adjoining Waldershare Park. (2) The site of the house is indicated by a tree-covered mound at the published site, on and around which there is a heavy scatter of brick, tile and flint. (3)
