Water pumping station built circa 1870 containing the first Worthington Simpson type triple expansion engine, at present preserved by Folkestone and District Water Company. Also preserved is a pre-1870 single-cylinder vertical steeple engine and a pre-1880 two cylinder vertical donkey engine from Lower Standen station.

TR 210380. Cherry Garden pumping station contains the first Worthington Simpson type triple expansion engine, at present preserved by Folkestone and District Water Company. They have also preserved a pre-1870 single-cylinder vertical steeple engine and a pre-1880 two cylinder vertical donkey engine from Lower Standen station. (1)(2)
