The Anglo-Saxon bronze mount of a bucket, "stated to have been found between Sandgate and Dover", is in the British Museum. (1)(2) A thin ornamental plate of bronze, of triangular form and probable Anglo-Saxon date, was found between Sandgate and Dover. It is suggested as being a portion of the metal mountings of an object, such as a helmet. (3)
