A small R.B. urn and 17 fragments of a late beaker (Abercromby B.1.) (2) were found during trenching operations by the Wingham Engineering Co. of Canterbury in 1932 in the valley leading to Covert Woods in Barham parish. The beaker is in Newbury (Berks) Museum. The find- spot was on the S.W. side of the Canterbury-Dover road and about a mile and a half from it, about 5 miles from Canterbury and 1 from Barham. (1) No information could be gained at the Wingham Engineering Co. on this find. The siting evidence suggest that the discovery was made in the vicinity of Covert Lane. (2)
