[TR 14565739] Bastion [NR] (Site of) [NAT]. (1) Semi-circular bastion. (2) House incorporates its remains with the modern bay window following its line. (3) Tower No 24. One of five towers between Worth Gate [TR 15 NW 187] and Riding Gate [TR 15 NW 141]. All are semicircular and open, with a battered ashlar plinth built against an earth revetment. All contain gun ports but may not have built until the late 15th century. (4)
