[TR 14775910] Place House [NR] (Site of). (1) Great or Place House, Hackington, was built c1562 and demolished c1759. (2) There are no visible remains. The site is now a recreation ground. (3) Watching brief at TR 1470 5910 located 2 pits and brick walling associated with the construction of the manor house built by Sir Roger Manwood. (4)
