Five waste flakes and two bifacially worked hand-axes were found during a watching brief at White Cliffs Business Park, all are thought to date to the Palaeolithic. One of the hand-axes could be of Middle Palaeolithic date and one is certainly from the Lower Palaeolithic. The debitage could be of any date within the Palaeolithic, or possibly of post-Palaeolithic date (1)
