Summary

In 2005 the Lenham Archaeological Society excavated a trial pit just south of the proposed site of the entrance to the Iron Age enclosure observed in cropmark. 150 pieces of iron slag plus 100 sherds of Iron Age and Roman-British pottery, including 2 sherds of Samian ware, were found.

In 2004 the Lenham Archaeological Society excavated a trial pit just south of the proposed site of the entrance to the iron age enclosure observed in cropmark. 150 pieces of iron slag plus 1000 sherds of iron age and Roman-British pottery, including 2 sherds of Samian ware, were found. (1)
