Pillbox [Sector 4]. Cassini ref 679550. Folkestone. (1)

A Second World War pillbox is visible as a building on aerial photographs taken in 1945, though it has been demolished on aerial photograph taken in 1959. The site is centred on TR 2409 3710 and comprises a rectangular pill box which measures 9.5 metres long by 5.5 metres wide. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2)(2-3).
