A Second World War reinforced concrete pillbox is located within the Hythe firing ranges (Monument Number 1531850). The pillbox was visible on historical aerial photographs but was subsequently removed or demolished after 1983.

Pillbox [Sector 4]. Cassini ref 571506. Dymchurch. (1)

The pillbox referred to above (Source 1) is visible on aerial photographs viewed as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment NMP. The pillbox is partially buried on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and is located on the beach head within the Hythe firing ranges (Monument Number: 1531850). The pillbox was subsequently removed or demolished after 1983. (2-3)
