Iron Age Hallstatt pottery was discovered in a deep and steep sided coombe, near Wye, known as the Devil's Kneading Trough (or Devil's Punch Bowl). No further information on this pottery was obtained and little else is known about the discovery.

Hallstatt pottery from the Devil's Punch Bowl, near Wye, is reported by Christopher Nolan. (1) No further information on this pottery was obtained. The feature referred to by Jessup (actually called the Devils Kneading trough centred TR 06784515) is a very deep and extremely steep-sided coombe. (2)
