In digging some deep drains at Court-at-Street, c. 1854, great quantities of Roman tiles were found. (1) The find-spot of these tiles could not be traced. They could have come from the same site as the building (TR 03 NE 24), but C3rd and C4th coins turn up occasionally in various parts of Court-at-Street. (2) KE 55 Listed as the possible site of a Roman villa. (3)
