Teynham: Three urns containing burnt bones and charcoal, one 7 inches high, were excavated at a depth of 3 feet by gravel diggers on the eastern bank of Conyer Creek.(1) (a) About 1 1/2 miles north of Green Street, on the eastern bank of Conyer Creek, three urns containing burnt bones were found about 3 feet deep. Only one was preserved entire, its diameter and height being 7 inches (2). Present location of finds not ascertained (3). Additional references (4-7) and site photographs (8-12)..This location for the urns is in the saltmarsh on west bank of the creek, according to the records the urns should be on the east bank. The point should be moved but it is not clear where the point should be placed as the llocation of the find is not entirely clear (13)
