Anglo-Saxon remains: miscellaneous antiquities: Belmont. A square- headed brooch of Jutish type, inlaid with garnets with cruciform design on foot, now at Canterbury, seems to have been found here, 3 miles S.W. of Faversham. (1) Saxon brooch found at Belmont. No particulars respecting the discovery are attached to it. (2) Additional references. (3)(4)
Pre-1964 The Ordanance Survey Index recorded Anglo-Saxon burials near the 90m (200ft) contour at Belmont.
