Summary

The remains of a smock mill are located at Egerton, half a mile to the south of the village. All that remains of the mill today is its base, and this now acts as a store. The cron mill is still marked on the 4th edition Ordnance Survey map of c.1940 suggesting it may still have been in use around this time.
