A small looped and socketed axe, found at Dunton Green during the reconstruction of a Tudor cottage, is in Sevenoaks Public Library and Museum on loan from Mr. Newman, Ivy House, Dunton Green. Mr. Newman died last year and his house is now a restaurant called "Donnington Manor". It is a much altered timber-framed building at TQ 5070 5812, and although confirmation could not be obtained it seems likely that it was here that the find was made. (1)
