The following text is from the original listed building designation:

Nos 46 Nos 48 and 48A TQ 5354/1/171

2. C18 building much altered in C20 in mock Tudor style. 2 storeys. Brick with stone dressings. No 46 tile hung at first floor, with large gabled dormer in roof. 2 leaded casements on ground floor with 2 projecting ones on first floor. No 48 is plainer with 4 flush casements on the first floor with modern shop windows and central door. 2 dormers over. No 48A is stone with brick details. One window only. Whole has old tile roof, mansarded at No 48A.

In 1994 a survey on cellars in the Sevenoaks area was undertaken. 46, 48 and 48aHigh Street was found to have the entire floor area taken by the cellar. Possible coal cellar perhaps below the pavement. 48 and 48a have cellars underneath the front rooms. (2)
