The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LONDON ROAD 1. 1614 (East Side) No 20 20 TQ 5354/1/63 II 2. C18. Tall narrow painted brick elevation of 2 storeys with 1 sash window on 1st floor. Flat boarded eaves and gutter. Half hipped mansard gable. Butcher's shop on ground floor with panelled boarded shutters and projecting flat canopy in front supported on 4 timber posts. Sunblind case over. New long window on north flank wall next The Shambles.

In 1994 a survey on cellars in the Sevenoaks area was undertaken. 20 London Road was found to have the entire floor area taken by the cellar. It was used as an additional meat 'Hanging Well' and the owner had photos. (2)
