The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5280 SEAL UNDERRIVER
Catts Cottage TQ 5552 26/1096 10.9.54.
II*
2. Late mediaeval farmhouse well restored. 2 storeys and dormers in gable ends. High pitched tiled roofs, that of right section half hipped. Tall C17 stack on connecting ridge. Bay projection to left hand side carried up 2 storeys with brick at base and half timbering above with plaster infilling. Casement windows with wooden mullions and transoms. Tiled hooded projection over 2nd floor window and above gable end dormer. Carved wooden pendants and brackets to gable ends. To right hand side, stone work layed in continuous courses with brick surrounds to windows and brick quoins. Tile hung above. Good interior with original staircase and carved newel pendants and brackets. Listing NGR: TQ5569452114 (1)
