(TQ 5042 5574) Flint Implements found AD.1932 (NAT) (1) A Mesolithic site found in January 1932 while driving a road across the park at Chipstead Place, at the published reference. Specimens, which include flakes, cores scrapers, points and microliths, held at Sevenoaks Public Library and Museum, were presented by the late W. Hooper. (2) Maidstone Museum is said to hold a selection but none could be traced there. The area is completely developed and there is no record of subsequent finds. (2( TQ 500560 (sited to place name only), at Chipstead Place working floor debris was found due south of a house half way to Bessel's Green. This consisted of :- 6 cores 69 blades and flakes 3 scrapers 1 graver 7 microliths 3 microburins 3 other implements. The above implements are all listed as mesolithic. They are in Dartford Museum, ex W Hooper. Information from R.M. Jacobi. (3)
