TQ 886622. In September 1968, a gold stater of Cunobelin, Mach type 210, was found in the garden of "Beam Ends". Hearts Delight, by Mus A Martin. It must have been part of the small hoard found in an adjacent garden in 1874, (see TQ 86 SE 12). At a coroner's inquest in October 1968, the coin was found not to be treasure trove and has since been sold privately. (1) No answer could be obtained at the house. The coin was probably found in the rear garden centred at TQ 887623, as the front garden is all under grass. Surveyed at 1:2500 at TQ 88676228. (2) TQ 887623. Gold coin of Cunobelinus, found at Borden in 1968, listed. (3)
