TQ 86576284: Iron slag found 1959 information from Mr. R. Jokey, 20 Wolfe Road, Maidstone. (1) When Boundary Field was ploughed some years ago a slight hollow with black earth and burnt clay was found together with a scatter of bloomery cinder. (a) The field is now an orchard but Mr. Barton was able to indicate a concentration of cinder, which marks the site of the bloomery. (2) [TQ 86576285] Bloomery [NR] (site of) [NAT]. (3)
