The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HIGH STREET 1. 1614 (East Side) No 8 (Manor House Cottages) TQ 5354/1/5 II GV 2. With No 10. C18 painted brick elevation of 2 storeys. 3 sash windows and door to left on ground floor. 3 sash windows on first floor. Moulded boxed eaves and gutter. Ridge tile roof with one end hipped. 3 small flat-roofed leaded dormers. 2 painted brick stacks in centre. C18-panelled door with top light and with flat projecting moulded hood over. (Up 2 steps to door). Sash windows with glazing bars under flat segmental brick arches. This house was originally part of the stable buildings belonging to the Manor House.
Nos 6 to 24 (even) form a group.

In 1994 a survey on cellars in the Sevenoaks area was undertaken. 8 High Street was found to have the entire floor area taken by the cellar. (2)
