Summary

Romano-British finds and features, identified at Copperhouse Marshes. The pottery mainly comprised local Upchurch ware. A pit and timber fragments, along with late 1st century pottery were identified in 1999.

[Area centred TQ 8044 6949] Occasional sherds of Romano-British pottery, mainly "Upchurch" ware, seen in this area during routine perambulation (1). Pit or natural depression with late 1st century pottery and timber fragments observed in 1999 (2). Additional reference from a relevant site report (3).
