Police Section House

Police section house, now disused. Mid C19. Yellow stock brick with stone dressings and slate roof. Rectangular plan.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 7-window range. Middle 4-window range to front and back set forward, with plat and impost bands and moulded eaves cornice. Ground-floor segmental-arched arcade, blocked, with rubbed brick flat-arched upper windows with 6/6-pane sashes. 2-storey, 2-window range to the S end, and steps up to a doorway in the end. An octagonal ridge lantern has 6/6-pane sashes and an ogee domed roof. INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORY: part of a fine assemblage of dockyard buildings.
