[TQ 5212 5973] Early R.B. hut - traces of wooden constructed hut beside River Darent, north of Otford. (1) This building was found initially during the construction of a fence. It was seen by Col. Meates who found a rammed chalk floor with traces of water-logged posts: small finds included fragments of brick and pottery and a boars tusk none of which was retained. There is now nothing to be seen at the site. (2)
