(TQ 85716642) Anglo-Saxon interment. (1) An Anglo-Saxon inhumation, accompanied by a long iron sword, a spear-head and other objects, found along the edge of a former road from Newington to Lower Halstow, which could still be seen near the National Schools. (2) (TQ 85716643) Anglo-Saxon Burial found (NAT) (3) The general area of this Burial is an arable field. The farmer could add no further information and there is no record of subsequent finds. (4) TQ 856665 Inhumation burial, Lower Halstow. (5)
