TQ 838531. A tanged and barbed B.A. arrowhead was found in January 1961 in the grounds of Leeds Castle by Andrew Avenell of Maidstone and given to Maidstone Museum. (Acc. No. 33.1961). Length, 1.5" of honey-coloured flint, the tang projecting below the barbs. (1) TQ 8393 5291. The findspot was indicated by Master Avenell, a gardener's boy employed at Leeds Castle, who said the arrowhead was found during the earthing-up of vegetables. (2) Additional bibliography. (3)
