TQ 8243 5383 During the laying of main drainage across a field of Old Mill Farm in 1961 a rubbish-pit containing large quantities of oyster-shell and Belgic potsherds was dug through. A fragment of Samian ware was also found. The sherds are in the possession of the finder, Mr. V.J. Newbury, The Old Forge, Upper Hollingbourne. The site has now been filled in. (1)
