Brass coins of Constantine I were found at Woodlands, Harrietsham, in 1927. (1) A small brass of Constantine the Great was found in the garden (centred at TQ 8710 5295) of Lake Cottage, formerly Woodlands, Harrietsham, by the late Mr. Gerald Mercer in August 1927. Mr. Mercer died many years ago and no further information could be obtained either from the present owners of the property or from Maidstone Museum. Neither could the discrepancy regarding the number of coins found (Authorities 1 and 2 (a)) be resolved. (2)
