Former stables, and TQ 75 SE LINTON 3/134 paved yard, about 70 metres north- 23.5.67 east of Linton Park GV II
Stables, now garages. Circa 1825. Painted brick with slate roof. Buff brick to rear. Main range, with 3 taller pavilions projecting forwards, one to centre and one to each end. 2 storeys, on painted brick plinth. Broad plat band to central pavilion, with recessed central panel. Moulded pedimented gables to pavilions. Low painted chimney stack to gables of end pavilions, appearing as acroteria. Rectangular wooden clock tower to centre, with single-handed clock under bell and weathervane. Regular 9-window front of one recessed 12-pane sash with splayed painted brick voussoirs to each end pavilion, two 12-pane sashes and blind central window to central pavilion and 2 blind windows to each section of main range, flanking low central loading door. 2 tripartite sashes with cambered heads to each section of main range, flanking double doors with rectangular fanlights. Boarded door with rectangular fanlight to inner side of each end pavilion. Double doors to right end pavilion and set of 6 folding doors to central pavilion, all with latticed top lights, the latter set under shallow canopy with paired Ionic modillions. Wooden guttering. Yard: most of rectangular yard to west of stables paved with stone setts.
