[TQ 839587. A Ne. flint celt, partly polished and presumably used as a chisel, was found in 1962 at Pond Farm and has recently been presented by the finder, Mr. R. Parsons, to Maidstone Museum. (1) Mr. Parson's son, who was present at the time of the discovery, indicated the exact findspot at TQ 83925867. He said his father was renewing the foundations of a barn at the time, and the axe was found at 4 feet depth. (2) [TQ 83925867] Neolithic Axe found 1962 [NAT] (3)
