[TQ 7013 6270] Saxon remains found when Parrington Lane was made. (1) Saxon swords, spear-heads and knives were found when the new road which leads from Holborough towards the mound [Holborough Barrow see TQ 66 SE 18] was made. In possession of Mr Raven. (2) No further information. (3) TQ 701 627 Anglo-Saxon inhumation cemetery, Snodland. Ante 1893. Raven informed Payne that when Parrington Lane, leading to the Roman barrow (TQ 66 SE 18) was made, Anglo-Saxon swords, spear-heads and knives were found, which were then in his possession. These finds were made 0.25 mile W of the cemetery later discovered at Holborough (TQ 66 SE 14). Ante 1928. (4)
