Description from record TR 15 NW 389:
No 16 St Dunstan's Street [TR 14525815 sited from OS 1/1250 1971]. Grade II. 18th century front to older building. (1) No 16 St Dunstan's Street. Timber framed building, probably two unit 16th century. (2)

The Canterbury UAD states that:
The Kent Arms was first recorded as a licensed house in 1862. (3)

Directories name the folloiwng as innkeepers;

1865/67 Miss Julia Martin
1889 Mr J A Brock
1900 Mr C W Birch

The inn closed in 1906 (3)

1. 944 ST DUNSTAN'S STREET (North East Side)
No 16 TR 1458 SE 2/308
II GV
2. C18 front to older building. 2 storeys the 1st floor now rendered. Tiled roof with 1 hipped dormer and coping. 3 light canted Day on tile 1st floor with restored glazing. Ground floor has later shopfront. The rear elevation is part weatherboarded with a gable and 1 casement. Grade II for group value.
Nos 5 to 16 (consec) form a group.
