A building survey was carried out in 2005 and the development of the structure reinterpreted. The earliest part is the brick walled section to the north east. The stone range that abuts this section is a later extension, the reverse of previous interpretations. Both phases probably date to the last quarter of the 18th or first quarter of the 19th century. The extension incorporates an earlier foldyard wall beneath its southeast elevation. (2) (3)
