In the entry for

The address shall be amended to read CHURCH LANE The Old School
1. 5272 SHADOXHURST CHURCH LANE The Village Hall TQ 9737 28/2 II GV 2. This was originally the village school and was built in 1846. It is a small rather attractive building in Tudor Gothic style. L-shaped. One storey and attics stone rubble, the north-east gabled end cemented. Tiled roof. Shaped Dutch gable end to each wing. Casement windows with stone mullions and transoms. Porch in the angle of the 'L' containing a round-headed archway, with a dripstone over and surmounted by a shaped Dutch gable with the date 1846 on It.

Former National School for boys and girls, as shown on 1862-75 map. Building continued to be used as a school, as shown on 1897-1900 and 1907-23 maps. It is shown as a Hall on the 1929-52 map before being converted into a private residence, The School House, as shown on the current O/S map.
