(TQ 72795904) Court Farm (NAT). (1) Court Farmhouse, Bull Lane. Grade II* Hall-house, now farmhouse. Probably 16th century with some earlier remains (for full description see list). (2) Not mentioned in The Buildings of England. (3)

GV II*
Hall-house, now farmhouse. Probably C16 with some earlier remains. Timber- framed with painted brick ground floor and rendered first floor. Plain tiled roof, hipped to left, with large left-end brick stack and random rubble stone projecting breast, and ridge stack off-centre to right. 2 storeys; 3 windows, slightly irregular, triple casements above, six-light casements below. Half- glazed door to left of central window, with C19 gabled porch with barge-boards and wooden supports. South front originally jettied with joist-ends now supported by large bressummer. Blocked 4-light mullioned window on 1st floor. Interior: Much evidence of substantial frame. C17 spiral staircase with solid newel and timber treads in framed addition to rear. Collar-purlin roof with moulded crown-post. C17 boarded door with original snecked latch in attic. Original door-surround, probably C15 and arched, at staircase end of screens- passage, but facing in towards building rather than out. 2 mullioned windows are said to have been found also facing into the building.
