Summary

An evaluation in 2003 within the Scheduled Monument discovered evidence of Romano-British occupation. An occupation layer, surfaces, small finds and a pit were discovered immediately adjoining Watling Street. It was suggested that the surface might indeed be the Roman road.

An evaluation in 2003 within the Scheduled Monument discovered evidence of romano-British occupation. An occupation layer, surfaces, small finds and a pit were discovered immediately ajoining Watling Street. It was usggested that the surface mightindeed be the roman road.(1)
