No features dating to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age were excavated at Ingress Abbey. A small number of neolithic or bronze age struck flint flakes were recovered during fieldwork south west of the house. They were interpreted as being residual, brought onto the site during recent landscaping or found in Roman deposits [1]. Two of the flakes resembled poorly fashioned blades. It is stated that any features from the prehictoric landscape have been destroyed by Roman occupation and later post medieval landscaping [2].
