Summary

In a layer containing possible buried soils, a large quantity of flint work and some pottery. The flint assemblage is generally of Neolithic or early Bronze Age in date and includes flakes, cores, scrapers and blades. The pottery included one Ebbsfleet rim so suggest a mid-late Neolithic date, but could be Bronze Age. The finds suggest a focus of Neolithic or Bronze Age activity close to the banks of the Ebbsfleet.

The flint assemblage is generally of neolithic or early bronze age in date and includes flakes, cores, scrapers and blades. The pottery included one Ebbsfleet rim so suggest a mid-late neolithic date, but could be bronze age. The majority of the material came from trenches 3795TT, 3797TT and 3799TT (1)
