Summary

A pit containing a rim sherd of flint gritted pottery, was found during excavations at Laundry Road in 1995. The pottery sherds were of early to mid Iron Age date. Waste flint flakes and animal teeth were also found within the fill of the pit. A single subcircular ditch enclosure with features was also investigated (see TR 36 NW 177) and at least one early medieval burial was found in clsoe proximity (see TR 36 NW 383).

Evaluation trenching Laundry Rd. Minster, 1995. Excavation of a single subcircular ditch enclosure with features (TR 36 NW 177) . Also found close to the site were, to the south, at least one early medieval burial (TR 36 NW 383) and, to the north, a pit containing a rim sherd of flint gritted pottery, of early to mid iron age date, waste flakes and animal teeth.(1)
