A Ne. polished flint axe, the cutting edge broken, was found at Gidd's Pond, Ware Street, Boxley, by Mr. D.H. Hammond, while working a cultivator on his market garden in 1962. Mr. Hammond indicated the exact findspot at TQ 7851 5699. The axe is in store in Maidstone Museum (Accession number 34/1962). (1) [TQ 78515699] Neolithic Axe found 1962 [NAT]. (2)
