A Romano-British bronze figurine of Sylvanus, 2 inches long, was found circa 1820 together with a Romano-Brirish lamp in a garden beside the chapel of St. Peter's Hospital, now St. Peter's Church.

A Roman bronze figurine of Sylvanus, 2 inches long, was found c.1820 together with a Roman lamp in a garden beside the chapel of St. Peter's Hospital. Area centred TQ 7557 5563. The present whereabouts of the finds has not been discovered. (1)

St. Peter's Hospital is now known as St. Peter's Church (7).
