In 1992 an evaluation by Canterbury Archaeological Trust was conducted at Waterbrook Farm. The features that were present appeared to be of two phases of occupation, three contained Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pottery in considerable quanities and which were not residual finds. Suggesting a Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age site. The remaining features representing the other phase of occupation conatins Belgic pottery dated from c. 25-75 AD, some dating to even the early 2nd century. These features were ditches and pits and possible post holes. It represents a short-lived settlement. (1)
