A palaeo-channel of the River Medway was found about 200m south of the present course of the river. The palaeochannel contained 7 waterlogged timber pile points preserved so well that tool marks could be analysed the result of which suggested a BA, IA or AS date. 3 sherds of Ebbsfleet ware (NE pottery) were also found.
