OS map, listed. sheet 19 shows windmill on what was then mill lane. Used as a cornmill. (1)

A windmill is shown on or near this site on the Symonson map of Kent (1596). (2)

This smock mill was known as Upberry Mill, also Gilbert's Mill or Lower Chatham Hill Mill. (3)
