Wireless transmitter station at Beacon Hill. Information about the site is sketchy but there seems to have been a radio station here since before the Second World War. The surviving structures (a transmitter hall and bases of various transmitter towers) all date from the 1950s however. The site consisted of a large transmitter hall on the east side of the road and accommodation structures on the west. (1)

The layout of the Second World War site was established by the English Heritage Hoo Peinsula Historic Landscape Assessment project of 2009-2012. Aerial photographs revelaed that the eastern part of the site had once been the location of First and Second World War practice or defensive trenches, a Second World War searchlight battery and gun emplacements (possibly including a light anti-aircraft battery). The western side included possible weapons pits and air-raid shelters. (2,3)
